Belated bRogA review

Have been to Broga with my beloved cincai group members last weekend before I start my new job in Penang next week. Hoping that this is not the last cincai group event. I know I am the one whose sooooo super duper passion organizing the event, but now I'm going to shift to Penang, and most of our cincai group members are staying in KL, so KL-ite, please make our group active, ok? Pullease DON'T make this trip as the last trip of our cincai group and DON'T cover our group with spider web and dust!!!! Show the world our cincai spirit! Remember our motto ~~ Giă Giá Kuā Kuă Ciăk Ciàk and Hip Xiāo Èng!!! Wohooo.....

Okie, back to the topic. Have been planning for this sun rise trip for a few weeks.
Members involved ~~ Ochen, Phoebe, Shirlexia, Weijian, Poayhua, Meiwei, Lijing and Me.
8 of us had sacrificed our dating with granpa chow. Woke up freaking early in the morning (or didn't sleep for the whole nite), gone thro some 冤枉路，being the main course of the mosquitoes, bullying by those lalangs and the steep road.

But the fact is......all of us were lose in the darkness in the middle of the jungle, we were using the wrong route!!!
I know you guys are quite disappointed, blame me coz not doing enough research for the road. Really pai se neh......I promised I will do more research and comparing the info from the blogger next time.
But the view on the "wrong" peak is still awesome and fascinating rite? Haha....at least we discovered another hill.

The sun is coming out. We are still climbing hard to chase after the sun, haven't notice we are in the wrong direction yet....


Everybody started to feel tired and "face green green". Some part of the road is quite steep and covered with a lot of lubang. Beware of your step or else you will end up with "the journey to the center of the earth" instead of Broga Hill.










fly me to the moon, coz i'm living on the jet plane, dont know when I'll be back again. Oh...babe, I hate to go.....

A lot of lalangs. Tat's why the hills oso named as 茅草山.....


The entrance of the hill, the palm oil farm. You can easily miss this coz it seems hidden in the dark. Just bear in mind that it just directly opposite the rabbit fun land showed as below


Nah...the rabbit fun land. I don think those rabbit will have fun and enjoy themselves in the land lo. Coz the land is selling rabbit meat too!!! Wat the heck!!!Should change the name into rabbit DEATH land....


An unsuccessful hiking. But I definitely will be back again. hopefully asap. With the rite route to the rite peak with the rite sunrise =)

While waiting for Lijing. We did some lepak-ing at 石那督廟, which is a very famous yet beautiful temple in Broga.












yea...we can see the Broga hill (the bald part of the hill) from the temple entrance.
Arggh...I'll conquer you one day!!!!

Seems like the GOD heard our cries, by compensated us a very super duper freaking bloody yummy lunch at 柚木園燒魚, which you can see it on your left on the way to Broga. It quite easy to notice.
La La La....here's our food~~


The 招牌燒魚 and....


清蒸燒魚. The restaurant is using African fish (非洲魚) for all the fish cuisine. Common sense that African fish will have a very heavy and stinky smell of soil although it's been cooked. But guess what??? We cant taste any smell of soil in these 2 dishes. The meat is so fresh and tender!!!I got the feeling that I'm eating ikan bawal putih (斗昌魚). And the sauce is damm nice goes with the rice.


藥材雞. A bit surprise when we saw it, coz we tot tat it is a dry dish, not in the form of soup (common sense mah). But it really really bloody taste good. 火喉 and 材料十足.Yummy....thumbs up =D


Sambal with 番薯葉, very kampung style, very homey....


Yellowish and crispy deep fried sotong. Not bad, the only flaw is the portion is a bit small, not enough to eat le =P


The curry mutton. Out of our expectation as well, we tot it supposed to be a dry dish too. Seems like the cook love to add a lot of water into the dishes. But the mutton is as tender as chicken meat.

A semi-successful Giă Giá Kuā Kuă Ciăk Ciàk and Hip Xiāo Èng project, unsuccessful in the way of we couldn't catch the sun rise while succeed in term of we found another Ho Ciak hot spot, delicious yet affordable (1 person RM14 nia le)!!! Yay.....

wHat a v@LeNtine wE eVer Had

I'm not spending my valentine with my boy this year, coz he is having Digi advertisement shooting on this day early in the morning. Both of us have a common conception ~~ everyday is valentine's day if we are still in love with each other!!! There's no law and rule stated that couple should celebrate Valentine's rite?? And we found out tat Valentine's actually is a day for being water fish and as wat shirlexia said:"Valentine's Day is probably a day that a guy is being 'wat' (in Cantonese) to buy present, pay for meal (or meals), pay for movies, etc. While girls with roses on their hands would feel prouder on this special day." Since we stil can have meal 2gether in the other day instead of Valentine's day, and I prefer sunflowers (suddenly ah fa's face flashing in my mind) than roses. So we decided to carry out our own plan ~~ he went for his shooting and I'll had my day with my dearest cincai group members =P 各自各精彩！

Lijing was having a surprise in the early morning. Somebody's dad had called him and ask him to tackle his own daughter. OMG!!! Uncle, I know you can feel the love in the air in this day but your daughter is still young for match-making. The very kind heart dad was too worry about his daughter relationship life. Uncle take it easy okie? Relax.........

Okie, back to our cincai's plan. Tuck Seng was complaining of having kidney pain for few days. Thus the very pro and kind sonographer (tat's me) decided to give him a full body scan. The hapPy 3 F.R.I.E.N.D.S again had done a lot of camwhoring in the college. Ohyea...we love Hip Xiao Eng =D

My college, where I've spend my 青春 and my hardest time. So glad I've already graduated!!!!

We enjoyed our "Valentine's" meals in Food Foundry after scanning and fooling around in the college. Yea....it has the best Mille Crepe in town, Tuck Seng even claimed tat it is better than the Malacca one. Shirlexia, you can come over here to try. Okie okie, let's have a look on the photos first.

Well, all I can say, it is such a great movie which is more than a chick-flick film. Was touching by what Gerry have done to Holly after he died. Every single letter to cheer Holly up, teaching her how to live and remember how to make herself happy, be tough all the way in her life without him.

Download it or buy the DVD, watch it 2gether with your love one or family and friends. I'm pretty sure that the film will make you smile, laugh, moody and cry as the director had captured the emotions beautifully.

年, 就醬子匆匆忙忙的過完了. 今年的新年對我而言,和往年的不一樣.

就在幾個月前, 和失散多年的ex-housemate又聯絡上了( I LoVe FacEbOok!!!). 經過歲月的洗滌, 人生經驗的磨練, 大家無論在心智上, 思想上都會比以往成熟和穩重, 可是當講起鳥話來的時候........還是醬鳥咯 (= = ''' )! 而且難得大家都共同培養了相同的興趣和愛好 ~~ Giă Giá Kuā Kuă Jiăk Jiàk and Hip Xiāo Èng (走走看看吃吃和拍拍照).

於是幾位嬌俏酷帥的半熟男女就興致勃勃成立了Cincai (福建話, 隨便的意思) Group. (預支更多Cincai Group 詳情, 請點击這裡.

由於大家都是Taiping Kia, 第一站的Giă Giá Kuā Kuă Jiăk Jiàk and Hip Xiāo Èng當然是從我們的家鄉開始. 出發咯! ~o(n_n)o~

民以食為天, 就先來介紹介紹太平的美食 =D *流口水*

第一站 ~ 滿美小吃

坐落在太平華聯獨中旁邊的商店街. 如果沒記錯的話, 只開了短短的三四年, 就牢牢的套住了太平老饕的胃口. 尤其是早餐時間, 店里可是座無虛席. 我們也花了些時間才等到位置. 該店馳名的美食包括咖哩面, 釀豆腐, 清湯和乾撈面.
順道一提, 該店的老闆之一是我們的同學~~高偉. 掌聲鼓勵鼓勵, 幫我們太平市又增添了美食 =D

乾撈河粉面. 彈牙可口的面條, 正!!!!

清湯河粉. 滑溜溜的河粉, 香味濃郁的湯底. 我找到了可以和金邊螕美的清湯河粉 ^0^

kopi 冰 GăoGăo. 哇.....美味呀!

看尚豪醬high的表情, 還有被我們Jiàk Gā Dă Dā 的食物, 大家可想像食物Ho Jiàk的程度了吧 =D


第二站 ~ Larut Matang Lăo Kā (福建話, 樓下的意思)
這地方可說是其中一個太平美食的集中點, 位於太平戲院街, 沒有戲院的戲院街. 老饕必到之處. 沒來這地方取經就代表你沒來過太平一樣. 有很多 Ho Jiàk 的美食.如只有太平才有的魚丸炒粿條, 四果湯, 佬忠雞飯, 各式各樣的糕點, 還有這檔的吉靈面

酷熱的天氣, 雪山將會是不二的選擇.

小吃也很一級棒的說

魷魚甕菜, 喜歡吃起來有蔔蔔脆的口感, 美中不足的是醬汁方面有點水, 味道有點淡.

so far 我吃過最好吃的蚵煎, penang 的都要靠邊站. 鮮甜的蚵, 火喉十足的煎餅, 在粘上自制的辣椒醬, 送入口中後所產生的化學變化可真是筆墨難以形容啊!!!


第三站 ~ Cendol Bismilah
位於太平巴士站旁邊的小檔口. 深受大眾喜愛的cendol, 大碗多料價格便宜, 尤其是pulut cendol. 要吃趁早, 因為很快就會壽罊.

又一次Jiàk Gā Dă Dā. 為他人樹立好榜樣, 不要浪費食物. 要想想在非洲生活的人民可是連一滴水都喝不到呀.


第四站 ~ 十八丁火車站海鮮村

這是我第一次來到十八丁吃海鮮. 十八丁是位於太平近郊的一個小漁港. 這裡的海鮮價廉物美, 很多外地人心甘情願駕車千里迢迢來這裡只為了吃到新鮮的海產.



十八丁火車站海鮮村, 靠海的海鮮樓, 海鮮樓旁還停泊了幾輛漁船. 進去海鮮樓前要穿個一段小小的窄巷, 感覺像柳暗花明又一村的感覺.

適逢過年, 海鮮樓里可是座無虛席. 等了一段時間後還是沒人離席,只好暫時坐在廚房旁便等位置. While waiting, so it's time for camwhoring. wakaka.....xD

清蒸小墨魚. 很香的酒味. 當一口咬下去小章魚的頭時, 在頭里面的醬汁會跟著pit出來.

辣椒干炒La La.

香炸小章魚, 第一次吃小章魚, 口感還滿不錯的說. 雖然是炸的, 可是油而不膩, 不知不覺又多吃了一些.......

上述的幾道菜餚就結束了我們的太平Giă Giá Kuā Kuă Jiăk Jiàk and Hip Xiāo Èng mission. 雖然吃到了很多美食, 可是這些都只是太平美食的冰山一角. 因為過年的關係, 有很多食肆都還沒開市. 希望下次還有機會和你們一起再Giă Giá Kuā Kuă Jiăk Jiàk and Hip Xiāo Èng, 吃遍整個太平!!!
